Adelante Chicas

Welcome to our newest program!  The program was developed in response to the Latino community's desire to provide a safe and fun environment in which young Latinas can learn from each other and about their heritage, express themselves freely about their experience as Latinas living in the U.S., and take leadership within the wider community.

Our mission is to contribute to the holistic education and empowerment of young Latinas and their families.

Adelante Chicas:

•Supports young Latinas to preserve, foster, and share their cultural heritage

•Promotes healthy lifestyles and options for positive future

•Builds community through leadership development and intergenerational support

         networks

•Motivates participants to explore innovative ideas for ecological awareness and advocacy

We acknowledge that the accomplishment of our mission and goals is interrelated to our ability to work in partnership with the families of participating girls. We strongly believe that every parent wants to be a part of and support their child’s growth. Adelante Chicas is committed to providing opportunities for parent involvement.
