Enterprise
For immigrants who are eager to contribute to our community's economy and are working towards becoming proficient English speakers, owning a small business can be a viable financial
alternative for many of our participants. The project offers a culturally and educationally appropriate Small Business Development curriculum tailored to students' needs, skill levels and interests. The focus of Adelante's Micro Enterprise development is small-scale, sustainable agriculture. We provide intensive training in organic farming, and direct marketing. In addition, Adelante founded and manages the Forest Grove Farmers Market as a way to promote a sustainable economy and cross-cultural communication.
