Anuncios y Elogios - Announcements and Honors

A round of applause for Adelante Mujeres programs and staff for the following accomplishments:

The La Esperanza Farm, managed by Adelante Agricultura, was officially certified as an organic farm by Oregon Tilth back in July, but the news came out to the community through the Forest Grove News Times on September 28. Congratulations to the families who farm on La Esperanza Farm, and to the program staff for all of their hard work and to their commitment to sustainable, organic values! Stop by the Forest Grove Farmers Market for its last two weeks, October 5 and October 11 to pick up some of this certified organic produce; and join us for a Farm Party Work Day on Saturday, October 22.

At a beautiful banquet last week, Adelante Mujeres Executive Director Bridget Cooke, along with Adelante Chicas Program Coordinators Araceli Ortiz and Leticia Aguilar, accepted the THIRD PLACE award of the 100 Best Nonprofits to work for in the state of Oregon. This is the third year that Adelante Mujeres has been recognized by the awards program, put on each year by Oregon Business. The 100-Best recognizes stellar non-profits who work hard to serve their communities and to provide a great atmosphere for staff. See what makes the other finalist organizations great, and why we in particular love working at Adelante Mujeres in this video .
