The market is every Wednesday 4-8 in downtown Forest Grove on Main Street between Pacific Avenue and 21st Avenue.
Come on out to the Forest Grove Farmers Market to get some delicious food, listen to music, socialize, and support local businesses!
A bit more about the market:
History: Adelante Mujeres has managed the market since 2005, under the leadership of market manager Gina Bell until 2011. At the end of last season the leadership switched over to new market manager & Adelante Mujeres staff member Kaely Summers. The market has served as great outlet for local small businesses and also for new businesses in Adelante Mujeres’ Agricultura and Empresas programs.
About the vendors:
Any small farmer, value-added food, prepared food, or non-profit organization can apply to be a weekly market vendor. Examples of current vendors include local vegetables, herbs, berries, breads, honey, baked goods, tamales, buffalo meat, kettle corn, and gluten-free goods. Additionally, First Wednesdays bring in local craft vendors, local wineries, and more. Because the market happens in a retail district (downtown Forest Grove) during business hours, Adelante Mujeres tries to only select vendors that would not directly compete with local storefronts.
The Forest Grove Farmers Market accepts SNAP and WIC and will match up to $10 that can be used for any fruits, vegetables, and plant starts at the market. Come to the information booth at the market when you arrive to receive your match tokens.
