Adelante Mujeres CSA & Distributor Packing Assistant
Description: Love fresh produce? Spend the evening in a room full of fresh local produce when you help us pack shares for our CSA and get produce ready for our distributor. Not only will you be contributing to the success of our local Latino farmers, you'll play a part in a local farm-to-table food system AND have fun! Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Spanish skills helpful, but not necessary.
Schedule: Tuesdays from late June to late October, 5PM - 9PM, with the option to work a two-hour shift
Location: Forest Grove United Methodist Church, 1726 Cedar Street, Forest Grove
Farm Production or Business Mentor
Description: Be a mentor to beginning farmer participants of the Adelante Mujeres Sustainable Agriculture program. Help participant create a business plan, including a marketing and financial plan. Mentor participants as they develop and implement both short and long term goals.
Required Qualifications: Business experience, intermediate Spanish Language skills, reliability, and excellent follow-through. Broad experience in sustainable farming; accessibility to visits or consultations; patience and empathy; desire to share his/her knowledge, skills, and passion for sustainable farming
Schedule: Flexible, according to your schedule and our participant's schedule
Minimum Commitment: 6 months; at least one year is preferred.
Required Age: 18+
Location: Flexible, depending on participant and mentor's needs

Event Volunteers: Childcare, Setup & Teardown, Spanish/English Interpretation
Schedule: One time basis, Childcare needed from 5:30PM-8:00PM, Setup from 5:00PM - 5:30PM, Interpretation: 5:45PM -8:00PM, Teardown runs from 8:00PM-8:45PM
**Our Convivio potlucks typically take place once in the fall and once in the spring.**
Position Description: : Our Convivio potluck is a great place for our Sustainable Agriculture students and farmers to get together, share great food, get to know one another, and discuss community concerns and best farming practices. We are looking for volunteers to help with setup and teardown and volunteers to help with childcare during the event. In general, Spanish skills are preferred but not required. The majority of our students and their children speak Spanish. We are also looking for a bilingual person to translate for a few English speakers who will attend.

Childcare During Sustainable Agriculture Classes
Schedule: Monday Nights, 6:30PM to 9PM, Classes run January - April
Position Description: Love cute kids? Tend to tots while their parents learn about sustainable agriculture! Materials and curriculum are provided. Spanish skills are preferred but not required (many of our students and their families speak Spanish). By providing childcare, you are giving families the opportunity to learn skills that will help them grow healthy, sustainable vegetables for years to come!
