ANNOUNCEMENT: ESPERE is now Beyond Trauma

Our highly popular ESPERE (School of Forgiveness and Reconciliation) Program has a new name. Our new name is Beyond Trauma or Más allá del trauma.

We at Adelante Mujeres wanted a name and title that clearly and readily relays the impact and purpose of our healing program.  We feel that Beyond Trauma communicates the value of our trauma-informed care program.

Over the next three years, we’ll see more exciting changes to the program. Adelante Mujeres is committed to giving participants a deeper understanding of how violence affects us, how we can identify our own trauma, and develop the tools that help us heal from the effects of trauma.

When asked why this change was needed, Lupe Hernandez, Adelante Mujeres Beyond Trauma Coordinator passionately responded, “I want people to know that there is peace Beyond Trauma, that life can be transformed by the power of forgiveness and we can enjoy having better relationships with our spouses, children and the community. Beyond Trauma provides the tools to achieve this.”
