Peter Eickhardt from Great.com interviewed Adelante Mujeres as part of their 'Great.com Talks With...' podcast. This series is an antidote to negative news stories that aims to shed light on organizations and experts whose work is making a positive impact on the world.

Being an immigrant can bring a whole host of disorienting challenges: prejudice, a language barrier, legal difficulties, and cultural pressures. Many women and girls of Latin American origin find it especially difficult to stand up and be counted. Bridget Cooke, Adelante Mujeres Executive Director & Co-founder, discussed the importance of empowering Latinas by equipping them with the tools to become leaders in their community.
