Togetherness, Art, & Culture: First In-person Chicas Summer Camps Begin

Chicas Summer Camps have looked quite different the past two summers due to the pandemic. Last year, while we were able to offer summer camps, they had to be held virtually. However, as our state continues to vaccinate residents as quickly as possible, this year, we are able to offer Chicas Summer Camps in person.

Our Chicas Program never stopped offering programming for students, even if it all had to be done virtually. Being able to provide camps in person, in a limited capacity, allows Latina girls to experience some type of normalcy during a time of transition.

This summer, the Chicas Program is able to provide enriching summer learning during day-long camps that allow students to express themselves through art and culture, explore healthy lifestyles, and engage in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) filled activities.
