Araceli has dreamed of owning her own Mexican restaurant ever since she can remember. But when she immigrated to the U.S., owning her own business seemed like an impossible dream. She didn’t speak English and didn’t know the first thing about how to start a business.
Then she heard about our classes here at Adelante Mujeres. She joined our Adult Education Program, as well as our Empresas Small Business Program where she learned how to successfully launch her own business. Today Araceli owns a successful catering business called “La Popular” and one of her signature sauces will be hitting the shelves of grocery stores soon.
We’re growing! With increased program support, we’ve doubled in size and capacity to serve the Latino community.
Now we are on a mission to help more Latina women and families than ever before.
We have purchased a new space but we need help building it out to house our classrooms and program activities.
We have big dreams for expanding our services beyond our borders but before our dreams can take flight we need a solid foundation. Our new building on Main Street in the heart of Forest Grove is a welcoming place for the vibrant Latino community but half of it is unfinished space just waiting to be transformed into early childhood education classrooms, adult education spaces, a commercial kitchen for chefs like Araceli, a Makerspace for our Chicas Youth Development program and much more. Check out our building plans to learn more.
You make the impossible possible for women like Araceli. Thanks to you, our programs have helped thousands of women just like Araceli achieve their dreams. Now we have the opportunity to help even more. We need to raise $3 million in order to complete the project and make our dream of having a solid foundation a reality. Will you join the Adelante Mujeres family and invest in the future of Latino women and families through a gift to support the capital campaign?
Your monthly or one-time donation to our Capital Campaign will help us reach our goal.
You can get your friends and family involved by starting a crowdfunding page to help us reach our goal.
You can host a fundraising event in your home and help spread the word about this campaign.
We would love to honor your investment in the project by putting your name on our donor wall or on one of our new rooms. You can show your support of the Latino immigrant community with a meaningful gift of your own or in honor or memory of someone you love.
Thank you to all of those who have been early supporters of our Capital Campaign!
Because of you, we reached our Phase 1 goal and have purchased our new building. See Our Capital Campaign Supporters.
