Volunteering at Adelante Farmers Markets

Volunteers are essential part of making Adelante Farmers Market successful! It is also a great learning opportunity to go behind-the-scenes, interact with customers, and strengthen the market community. You'll receive $15 to spend at the market and is a great opportunity for class credit or customer service experience.

While each day can look a little different, here are some of the main tasks that our volunteers help with:

• Set up of the market space, including the information booth and music booth

• Help vendors during set up and cover staff or vendors if they need a break

• Greet customers as they enter the market space and answer general market questions

• Complete crowd counts every hour of the market

• Monitor garbage and bathroom entrance

• Take photos and videos of the market

• Practice your Spanish-speaking or English-speaking skills

• Assist at the information booth with customer transactions

• Take down the market space and direct traffic flow
