Dear Adelante supporter,

From all of us at Adelante, we hope you and your loved ones are well. Our hearts go out to everyone who is experiencing the challenges of isolation, fear and illness. During this time, we know you are with us, working together to build a community of care.

Given the public health concerns raised by COVID-19, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel Fiesta of Hope this year. We’re sad about this decision but feel it is best to ensure the safety and health of our guests, volunteers, staff and community.

While we hope our actions will contribute to reducing the rate of virus infection, the cancellation places a heavy financial burden on Adelante Mujeres. The financial support we receive from Fiesta of Hope allows us to run our programs, build a more just society and protect the vulnerable populations we work with.

During a time when so many discriminatory policies are impacting our communities, these funds are more critical than ever. I encourage you to consider donating in lieu of your attendance.

We are grateful to you for your commitment and generosity. Your contributions make it possible for us to serve more than 9,000 people annually. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you in advance for your patience and especially your support during this time.

Mil gracias,

Bridget Cooke
