Clínica Esperanza: A Year of Gratitude and Impact

Thank you to Health Share, CareOregon, Washington County Behavioral Health, and Trillium for their continued partnership and support of Clínica Esperanza.

We are proud to continue providing mental health services to our community with a team of four full-time therapists and a care coordination team that helps participants navigate services and connect to needed resources through case management and care coordination.

In addition, we are facilitating community groups and workshops such as Parent Cafés, Circle of Security, Beyond Trauma, and Explorando Nuestra Salud Mental.

We continue to collaborate with Occupational Therapy and Social Work practicum students as part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening a culturally specific behavioral health workforce. We are deeply grateful to our university partners — Pacific University, Portland State University, University of New Mexico, and Western Oregon University — for their collaboration and support in this effort.

Our work also extends beyond behavioral health to address whole-person care and social determinants of health. We have partnered with the American Heart Association to implement food insecurity screening tools, helping identify and connect community members with nutritious food resources. We are also hosting Dental Vans in Partnership with Kaiser and Pacific University to provide free emergency dental care for uninsured community members, and we are excited to partner with Pacific University to provide first Vision Van, bringing vision screenings and free eyeglasses to those in need.

We are especially proud of the incredible work being done through our Produce Prescription Program, which embraces the principle of “food is medicine.” This program helps participants access fresh produce while promoting overall health and wellness through culturally relevant nutrition support.

Finally, we want to extend our gratitude to our community partners, including Virginia Garcia, Bienestar, and the Family Peace Center, for welcoming us to facilitate groups and workshops in partnership with their programs.
