CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Position: Set-Up  

    When: Every Wednesday starting May 6th – October 28th                                        

    Time: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm   

    Total number of volunteers needed:  2-4 people   

    Description: Assist in set up of market, and various tasks during the start of the market including greeting customers and completing crowd counts.   

    Required skills: Requires lifting, pushing, and pulling equipment up to 40 pounds.

  • Position: Market Watch  

    When: Every Wednesday starting May 6th – October 28th  

    Time: 4:00 pm – 8 pm   

    Total number of volunteers needed: 4 people  

    Description: Supports a safe, welcoming environment throughout the market:  

    • Greet visitors, support a safe environment by maintaining a friendly, visible presence  

    • Monitor entrances and exits to keep a general count of attendees  

    • Keep an eye out for any concerns and communicate promptly with market staff   

    • Offer directions or basic information to guests to help them navigate the market   

     Required skills: Willingness to interact with a variety of market goers and be a visible presence

  • Position: Floater 

    When: Every Wednesday starting May 6th – October 28th  

    Time: 4:00 pm – 8pm    

    In person or virtual: In Person  

    Total number of volunteers needed: 2 people  

    Description: Support the market in various tasks including:  

    • POP Club Kid’s Activities   

    • Waste Center   

    • Assisting vendors at their booth  

    • Greeting customers  

    • Completing crowd counts  

    • Customer service at the information booth  

    • Taking photos or videos of the market with Farmers Market camera  

    Required skills:  Willingness to interact with a variety of market go-ers and vendors and pitch in where necessary

  • Position: Take Down  

    When: Every Wednesday starting May 6th – October 28th  

    Time: 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm   

    In person or virtual: In Person  

    Total number of volunteers needed: 2 people  

    Description: Assist in take down of the market, including:   

    • Directing traffic   

    • Assisting vendors with clean-up of their space if needed   

    • Materials taken down (tents, tables, chairs, etc.)   

    Required skills: Will require lifting, pushing and pulling equipment up to 40 pounds.
