Two Women, One Dream: Celebrating Latine Entrepreneurship.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate all Latine entrepreneurs who bring their culture, talent, and dreams to our community. At the Adelante Mujeres Farmers Market, every vendor has a story. For Ana Lilia Morales and Ivett Palacios, that story is about Hola Tamale, a business built around food, tradition, and the courage to turn an idea into something real.
Their journey with Adelante Mujeres began when a friend introduced them to the organization. From there, they joined the Empresas Program, took the finance classes, participated in coaching sessions, and are currently part of our Cocinemos Program. These opportunities have helped them develop new skills, build confidence, and grow as entrepreneurs.
After their coaching sessions, Ana Lilia and Ivett felt ready to take their next step: becoming vendors at the Adelante Mujeres Farmers Market in Forest Grove and Cornelius. The Farmers Market gave Hola Tamale a place to meet customers, share their food and culture, and grow their business. Ana Lilia and Ivette say they have felt welcomed and supported by the community every step of the way.
For us, this is what Hispanic Heritage Month is about: celebrating culture while creating opportunities for the future. Adelante Mujeres is proud to support women and their families as they turn ideas into businesses, build confidence, and open new doors.
Ana Lilia and Ivette have a message for women who are still waiting to take that first step:
