Another School Year Begins at Adelante Mujeres!
Our first day of the school year was full of energy, like the buzzing of the bees when they see the blooming flowers of the spring.
This year, 25 women have filled our classroom ready to take English classes, GED, computer, leadership and parenting. This week was a time to connect with each other, make big plans, share hopes and goals and support each other as we prepare for the year ahead.
We have new families in our early childhood program, filled with joy about having this new opportunity in this incredible community and organization.
This new school year offers us the chance to reach towards our highest aspirations and goals as individuals and parents. But the only way we can achieve this is when we feel safe, connected, heard and inspired.
Our Adult Education program provides that space for women to connect, to learn, and to feel comfortable with their own culture. As one of our women said, “I’m grateful to be surrounded by women that know what I’m going through, and know and understand my culture.”
We are very thankful for the beautiful year ahead!
