Adelante Mujeres Launches the 2026 Farmers Market Season

We are excited to announce the 2026 Farmers Market season!

The Forest Grove Farmers Market started on Wednesday, May 6. The market will take place every Wednesday through October 28, from 4:00–8:00 PM at 2030 Main Street, Suite A, in the heart of downtown Forest Grove.

The 2026 Cornelius Community Market (formerly the Cornelius Farmers Market) begins on Friday, June 5 and will take place every Friday through August 28 from 4:00–8:00 PM in the Old Cornelius Elementary school parking lot.

Forest Grove Farmers Market: Milestones and Celebrations

“We’re thrilled to welcome back many of our favorite musicians and vendors,” said Elizabeth Lucas-Lucas, Farmers Market Coordinator at Adelante Mujeres. “I’m especially excited about the new businesses joining us this year, including The Yogurt Guys, Newks Hot Sauce, Laughing Tree Spice Company, and Garliki. Each one brings something unique and delicious to our market community.”

Returning vendors include:

  • Pan El Quetzal, known for its homemade Guatemalan bread

  • Rosa’s Churros, offering freshly made stuffed churros

  • Asona Cuisine, serving flavorful West African dishes

Live music will continue to energize the market each week, with special performances including Bell Tower, an indie bluegrass band from Eugene.

This year marks a special milestone for the Forest Grove Farmers Market: its 22nd anniversary, celebrated as a “Golden Birthday” on July 22. Adelante Mujeres will also partner with Pacific University to host a “Welcome Back” event for students on September 2, strengthening connections between the market and the broader community. And, of course, we will host our annual Day of the Dead celebration on October 28.

Cornelius Community Market: New Name, New Vision, and Expanded Community Experience

Formerly known as the Cornelius Farmers Market, the newly reimagined Cornelius Community Market reflects an expanded vision centered on community connection, local entrepreneurship, arts, sustainability, and cultural celebration. The new name signals a broader, community-centered approach that transforms the market into a vibrant “third space.” This welcoming place outside of home and work is where neighbors can gather, connect, celebrate culture, and support local businesses.

The Cornelius Community Market aligns closely with the City of Cornelius’ mission to “promote community involvement in building a safe, inclusive, and sustainable community” and reflects the vision outlined in the city’s long-term Cornelius 2045 plan. This market is about creating belonging, building economic opportunity, and celebrating the incredible creativity and diversity of Cornelius. Vendors will include local farmers, artists, food makers, musicians, and community members selling handmade, reused, recycled, and sustainability-focused goods.

Visitors can expect weekly live entertainment, local food, arts, family activities, and themed community events throughout the summer season, including:

  • June 12: Open Mic Poetry

  • June 19: Cornelius Car Show

  • July 3: Bingo/Lotería

  • July 10: Community Yard Sale

  • July 17: Punk Show

  • July 31: Festival de Maíz

  • August 14: Bake Sale

  • August 28: Mercado para los niños

Supporting Local Entrepreneurs and Sustainability

Our markets are cornerstones of Adelante Mujeres’ Market Access Program, serving as a small-business incubator for beginning Latine farmers and entrepreneurs participating in the organization’s Regenerative Agriculture and Empresas Small Business Development programs.

“The Adelante Farmers Market allows our community to have direct access to fresh local foods,” said Jodi Monroy, our Market Access Manager. “It’s a lively space where families can gather and local businesses can grow. This season, we’re also deepening our commitment to sustainability, which helps our community and our planet.”

The expanded sustainability efforts at the market this year include:

  • Increased use of reusable dishware

  • Enhanced food waste diversion through the Waste Center

  • The recruitment of vendors who prioritize reused materials and environmentally conscious products

We invite everyone to join us this season to support local businesses, celebrate culture, and enjoy delicious food. Be part of a thriving community-centered space where neighbors gather, local entrepreneurs grow their dreams, artists and musicians share their talents, and families create lasting memories together.
